Geometry of the Scattering: Oude Kerk Untitled

Typical to Germaine Kruip’s practice is often the removal of elements and reduction of light and sound within an existing space, in order to create a new environment. In the Oude Kerk she investigated how the building was originally lit and how light and darkness relate towards the architecture. By removing all the artificial lighting, the artist exposes the architecture to its natural light. Therefore the exhibition’s state changes on daily shift between time and light.
