This Bible has an embossed leather binding with two leather clasps to hold it closed. A clasp is a fastening to the front and rear of the cover. On the cover, which has almost come loose, it reads ‘Oude Kerk, V, 1, 1865’. The clasps are missing, but the mounts are still intact. The Acte van Consent authorization was signed in Amsterdam on 5 August 1818 by D. Meijboom.
