This painting from 1857 was created by Cornelis Springer (1817-1891). It shows the interior of the Oude Kerk, viewed towards the organ from the northern side aisle of the nave. Springer was particularly famous for his village scenes and cityscapes. His interest in architecture and structures is also evident in this work.
