This skull was found in a bucket in one of the Oude Kerk’s attics. Where it came from or who it is remains unknown. Archaeological research revealed that it is a man aged between 50 and 70 years. The tooth enamel reveals that he was seriously t WIC e in his youth, leaving him with a poor set of teeth: he had decay in various teeth, had lost two teeth, and suffered from an infection of the jawbone.
