Why do ants always bump heads when they meet? In 2011, Iswanto Hartono developed the work 'Nuh [Noah]' for an exhibition about the relation between humans and animals. It consists of a text about Noah’s Ark: not the version from the bible, but one based on the tongue-in-cheek stories about the Ark that he and his friends told each other as children. When Hartono was invited to reflect on the impact of the corona crisis for 'The World After', he realized that this subject matter – men’s relation to nature – is more relevant than ever. He therefore revisited Nuh [Noah], creating a video based on the original text-based work.
