Hoogkoor: Choir Stalls with Misericords (North Side)
These choir stalls in Late Gothic style are located in the High Choir and are thought to have been made around 1500. The stalls consist of 15 seats, separated by partitions and armrests. The undersides of the folding seats feature misericords, designs carved in wood. The misericords offered support for people who were required to stand for long periods. Similar choir stalls are located on the opposite side of the High Choir, with 21 seats. It is likely that this side originally had the same number of seats.
