Sera Markoff (US, 1971) works at the intersection of astrophysics and astroparticle physics and is interested in a variety of problems relating to the accretion process especially around black holes, both big and small. A member of the Even Horizon Telescope project, Markoff is part of the Anton Pannekoek Institute for Astronomy at the University of Amsterdam.
