Standing Still at the Oude Kerk

During the Open Monuments Weekend on 14 and 15 September 2013, at every whole hour, a special person took the floor in and around the church. They shared a short story (10-15 minutes) at a spot in the church related to this story. Speakers included both people with a background in heritage, contemporary artists, and people who have a relationship with the Oude Kerk in other ways, such as Gijs Stork talking about a family member buried in the church, or painter Wilco de Ruiter recounting how the church almost caught fire while he was doing restoration work. Additionally, artist Sarah van Sonsbeeck , in collaboration with Jacob Lekkerkerker , made the five different organs sing again. This programme was compiled by Michiel van Iersel and Radna Rumping .
