This table was added to the interior of the Mirror Room in the period 1775-1800, when the room was decorated in the French Style. The table is a drop-leaf model, with folding rectangular leaves on either side. The legs are in Queen Anne style. This is the room where couples declared their intention to marry, of which Rembrandt van Rijn and his wife Saskia van Uylenburgh are a notable example.
