A regular construction lift was placed in the middle of the celebration; the heart of the Oude Kerk. The somewhat noisy lift transported individual visitors 19 metres Into the Air , up to the moon-shaped window. On the way, they got a completely different view of the monumental space, seeing details you cannot perceive down below on the ground. The lift ended at a round mirror in which you encountered your own reflection. Here, the artist left a personal message.

The relationship with the vertical lines in Gothic architecture was also a reference to the immaterial that transcends humans.
