This series of Come Closer gatherings was suitable for all ages, specifically also for children (from 6 onwards) and was developed by curator Michiel van Iersel in collaboration with architect Lada Hrsak. Participants were invited to discover the building in a sensory way, with their head, hands, and feet. Among other things, the Oude Kerk was experienced lying on the ground - there were exercises during WIC h the eyes remained closed and 'rubbings' of the tombstones were made. The idea was to get to know the space from a surprising perspective, with an eye for the smallest details, and also to get closer to the work of Marinus Boezem - who plays a lot with tilting perspective in his oeuvre and developed five new works for the Oude Kerk. The visitors consisted mainly of small groups of parents with children.
